“I don’t have time for that” is a comforting lie.
But here’s the inconvenient truth: Time is irrelevant.
Your priorities dictate what you choose to do and what you decide to ignore.
Excusing something for lack of time is a red herring fallacy. It sounds relevant, but it’s actually just a convenient distraction from the real issue.
Everybody has the same amount of time—24 hours a day. You can’t buy more time, and nobody can take it away from you. Time is the great equalizer.
You always make time for what you believe is important. When you say “I don’t have time for that,” you’re really saying, “I don’t prioritize that.” Which is fine. But it’s important to recognize the difference.
There’s enough time to do anything you want.
It’s just a matter of choice.
